The excitement is building for collectibles honoring America’s anniversary!

This year is a big one for our nation! As we gear up to celebrate the 250th anniversary of independence, collectors like us are going to have some exciting opportunities.

Here at Littleton, we’ve been hard at work to make sure our collectors have a top-notch lineup of exclusive products to look forward to!

Collectibles honoring history

2023 Colorized American 250th Niue Half Dollar - Boston Tea Party - Littleton Coin Blog

One of our most popular sets to date hails from the island nation of Niue. This 25-coin half dollar series began in 2023 with a design celebrating the Boston Tea Party. Highlighting important events on the road to American Independence, this series wraps up with 2026 coins – the final design will honor the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

Of course, the Boston Tea Party was a major catalyst for the American Revolution. Following the passage of the British Tea Act, which imposed additional taxes on the American colonies, dissatisfaction grew. The colonists grew determined to make a statement against the unjust taxation. So, on the night of December 16, 1773, a large group of Massachusetts residents boarded ships docked in Boston Harbor. They dumped 342 chests of tea – more than 90,000 pounds – into the water.

2021 Washington Crossing the Delaware to Trenton 13 Colonies to One Nation Silver-Plated 100 gram Copper Bar - Littleton Coin Blog

Another dynamic set is Littleton’s exclusive “From Thirteen Colonies to One Nation” series of silver-plated copper bars. Each one celebrates a critical moment from the founding of America – from the Stamp Act and Washington Crossing the Delaware to the U.S. Constitution and the Treaty of Paris. Each one is partially colorized with classic artwork, while the reverse of each displays Littleton’s exclusive Eagle and Shield design.

Exclusive Notes, too!

Our colorized $2 notes are beloved by collectors, and it’s easy to see why! Of course, we had to use this fantastic collectible canvas to showcase our country’s revolutionary beginnings, like:

Battle of Bunker Hill – On June 17, 1775, America’s patriots proved at the Battle of Bunker Hill that they were formidable opponents against the British Army. While the British ultimately defeated the colonists, they also suffered more casualties.

Battle of Machias – Took place off the coast of present-day Maine from June 11-12, 1775. This marked America’s first naval victory.

Capture of Fort Ticonderoga – In the early hours of May 10, 1775, Ethan Allen and the Green Mountain Boys, along with Benedict Arnold, attacked unsuspecting British soldiers to capture Fort Ticonderoga.
