Littleton’s newest colorized $2 Note series is here – and it’s sure to put some horsepower in your collection!

History behind the designs

Since the introduction of the Quadricycle in 1896, the Ford name has become synonymous with innovations in the automotive industry. Following the incorporation of the Ford Motor Company, the first Model A was sold in mid-1903.

Just 5 years later, in 1908, Ford cemented its legacy with the debut of its Model T. The world’s first widely available automobile, the Model T became increasingly affordable thanks to another Ford innovation – 1913’s moving assembly line.

Thanks to this monumental production shift, Ford was able to reduce the time needed to build a chassis from 12.5 to 1.5 hours. And the groundbreaking work only continued into the new year, when Ford announced a reduction in the standard workday (from 9 to 8 hours), plus instituted a pay rate of $5 per day. At the time, this doubled a factory worker’s rate of pay!

Make your collection showroom-ready!

Designed to resemble a Showroom Collection, the colorized Ford $2 bills feature some of the brand’s most iconic classic vehicles. From pioneering advancements like the debut of Ford’s flathead V-8 engine (with the 1932 Cabriolet) to beloved models like the Mustang, Thunderbird and
F-Series trucks, this is a collection that’s meant to be admired.

First in the series: the 1932 V8 Cabriolet

Our colorized Ford $2 bill series debuts with the 1932 V8 Cabriolet. This year also marked the introduction of Ford’s flathead V-8 engine. Cast as a single piece, the engine was both lightweight and inexpensive enough to be placed in vehicles that were produced in higher quantities – including the Cabriolet.

The shining blue Cabriolet shown on this colorized $2 Federal Reserve Note makes it easy to see why this convertible is sought after by auto enthusiasts to this day!
